Interesting new figures from Jaguar Models...

Post by Timo » 07 Apr 2002 01:51

Jan Willem (and the others), pay attention:

New from Jaguar:

Image
(YH-35001) Joachim Peiper & Kurt Meyer, Kharkov 1943 (3 figures) $29.98

Here's some additional info I found about a meeting between Peiper and Meyer during the Kharkov battles:
(Quote from Kurt Meyer's book "Grenadiers", page 100)
20 February 1943: I meet Jochen Peiper ten kilometres ahead of the actual front line. He has taken the town of Yeremeyevka (Jeremejewka) after fierce battle and is to hand over the resulting forward bastion to me. Several destroyed T-34s serve our forward outpost as windbreakers against the cold snowstorm blasting constantly from the east. Jochen Peiper briefs me on the situation and makes me particularly aware of powerful troop movements east of Yeremeyevka. It seems that the Soviets are prepering for the attack. We turn Yeremeyevka into a strongpoint in icy cold.

With some snowy groundwork and a disabled Russian T 34 this calls for a nice little vignette: Yeremeyevka, 20.02.1943.

Regards,
Timo

Hallo Erich,

You can't see the image? The scale is 1/35.

Cheers,
Timo

Post by jan willem stokkers » 07 Apr 2002 22:22

this is indeed a great looking box of figures from Jaguar. I already knew this set but i cannot find it in The Netherlands. I already have Meyer and Wit from the Wolf series of figures.

But indeed i also want to have this box. because, as i told you, i want to make a few dio's consurnig the Kharkov Battle. Where you gave me some good info :D :D :D

Hopefully the figure companies will bring some more figures of Kharkov.
My wish is a group of grenadiers sitting ore standing in a spw wagon in those Kharkov parka's.   I thought this was your wish????

greetings from JanWillem

Definitely my wish too!!!

I also noted that Jaguar still has the "road to Malmedy" figure set on its website. I was told it is out of production.

Cheers,
Timo

that would be a pitty...

Post by jan willem stokkers » 07 Apr 2002 22:31

but sometimes you can find them on ebay.

Or they will be brought back on the market after a while

But it is a real pitty that figures are so hard toget in the Netherlands.
Also the prices are going a "little bit out of hand/controle" for a single Warriors figure you already have to pay double prices in a few years time. Sometimes up to 17 Euro's or more

JW
