Michael

Not an IPMS member, lack the skill (which I admire) to build anything more detailed or complicated than a sandwich.

I used to try and hang around until the last moment to get the best deals. Of course you take the chance that some stuff will sell out, but by waiting until the last moment you can simetimes take advantage of the fact that the vendors don't want pack up all those books again!

Marl/Marcus :

I do not want to draw away from this excellent site and marcus you have posted the URL for the IPMS for the US and it's many links all over the world......but an excellent source is :

http://www.hyperscale.com

this web-pages and there are many include aircraft/ tanks and ships. The forums are quite excellent and Mark you will be updated continually about local IPMS shows running throughout the US of A. Every July there is the big show that runs a week ? long and is well worht attending where ever you maybe located. I attended a show in San Jose some 5 plus years ago and have many fond memories as well as made some nice associate contacts in the process. The highlights of course are the incredible models......man, some of these guys are incredibly gifted, the incredible amount of modeling materials available, and then of course my good friends the Crandall's presenting one of their aces symposium's to wrap up an incredible week. You must attend at least one guys.

I'd go in search of Japanese publications (Maru Mechanic, Koku-Fan, etc) that seem impossible to find on the net from dealers. Many claim to have them but never do (in stock).

If I remember correctly Mark, the San Jose show had 4 book distirbutors and every one had the publications by koku-fan.

now, I would not know but there is another event in July.
