large vinyl kits?

Post by coyote42b » 12 Apr 2002 06:08

Hello, anyone built any of the Horizon figure kits? I just finished the Bram Stokers Dracula kit, the one of Dracula in the red armour. First time I did a vinyl kit. Quite different, but I liked the flexibility with the heat. I modified mine a little, and used oak and clay to make a base. I know there is a whole line of Horizon kits out there, just curious if anyone else does the large scale kits.

Hallo Coyote,

I am not very familiar with vinyl. I know DML/Dragon makes vinyl 1/9 motorcyclists for their big Zündapp and BMW's but I never build one. I've been told that painting them is quite different because a normal paintjob cracks due to the flexibility of the vinyl.

ps: please keep the modelling postings on topic: German WW2.

Cheers,
Timo

Sorry, got carried away. I will be more vigilant in the future. If you want to delete this topic, I will start a new topic on Dragon's 1:16 scale German figures, which is what I was interested in actually. Again, my apologies.
