Werner Baumbach's JU 88's

Good evening everyone!

Am a newcomer to this forum.

Would love to build, paint and detail - with appropriate aircraft code letters, markings, etc. - a JU 88 of famous anti shipping "ace" Werner Baumbach.

Have his own "Life and Death of the Luftwaffe" and several other sources, but none go into this kind of detail.

I do know that he was assigned to Kampfgeschwader 30 during 1940 to late 1942. Aircraft code for KG 30 was "4D", and then, of course, the appropriate Gruppe, Staffel and then individual aircraft letters. I understand, from what I've read, that he was Kommandeur of I Gruppe for a time, then Kommandeur of III Gruppe from July to December of 1942.

Any information regarding him or aircraft he flew greatly appreciated!

Note: Recently saw photographs of tail of JU 88 "A6 + HH, with some 16 x ship "kill" markings. Supposedly his aircraft. Do not believe that this is correct, as "A6" was code for a reconnaisance unit.

Best!
