Re: the yamato
What is the scale?
What is the price?
What is your skill level?
What do you want to do with this Ship?
So many questions

Re: the yamato
theres only one tamiya yamato available that i know of, my apologies for not listing details
SKU TAM78025
Manufacturer Tamiya
UPC 4950344780259
Dimensions 29.88" x 10.63" x 6.00"
Scale 1/350
200.00 roughly, ive built well 10 years or so ago and am getting into the hobby from scratch mostly, i figure something so time consuming and details will allow me to get a nice sized set up back up to build them. itll be a side project with my sons snap together models (hes 3 no glue and is still supervised)

Re: the yamato
It sounds like a great family project.
I too haven't built any Tamiya models in a log time, so I just don't know...
Check out this link: http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/ ... /index.htm
You might want to buy some of the extra items if you want to go all out building the Yamato.
In my opinion this Yamato model looks great!
Have Fun!

Re: the yamato
Here is an example of this model, finished with some optional parts (metal barrel etc.).

Perhaps another option is to buy another Tamiya Yamato TAM78030, released 2 years later than TAM78025, a little number of revised parts with old kit. It's much cheaper. $200 for TAM78025, by a brand-new die following all information after she was found at the sea, sounds fair.
