Uboot. Uflak.

I recently started building Models again. I had some spare time since I'm now retired. This last winter I got into two large Uboot Models. The U 505 and a type VIIc /41 Boot I converted to a Uflak Boot. I am adding some Photos. I found several after market part dealers. Some of the Uflak parts had to be fabricated since they either didn't exist or it would have required purchasing a complete other expensive Uboot Model for simply one section of the Boot or one part. I encountered many problems with the building, etc. Some of the after market parts are no longer available or take forever to arrive. especially with the Uflak Boot. No models exist of that specific type of Boot, Except for one Model of the U 673. Which was not designated a Uflak anyway. As always with plastic Models, the become very delicate and brittle after completion. I enclosed my Boots in Display cases to protect them from dust or damage. Sorry, No display case big enough for American Gato class 1/72 scale. Too Big, around 50" inches. If anyone has any questions about these builds, feel free to ask. Perhaps I can save you some added expense or problems.
