US 6 inch M1905 in carriage 1917 1/35 3D printed

A few WIP pics of my US 6 inch Model 1905 in Model 1917 Carriage and
transport components (1/35 scale, 3D printed)

During WWI, 6inch model 1900/1903 and 1905 (50 Cal) guns were
removed from coast artillery units and sent to Morgan Engineering
in Ohio. Most of the guns built were sent to France and some saw action.

6 inch Model 1900 guns removed from barbette mounts had different
cradles and therefore needed a similar but modified carriage (Type A)

There were plans to mount several 6 inch L/30 variants to similar mounts
as well but those needed yet another modified carriage. At least one was built
and tested at APG.

Thx - nice profile shot. I also did a walk around of it before it left APG.
I never cared too much for these older, cobbled together pieces but have developed an
appreciation for them over the years. Most of these barrels were cannibalized coast artillery
guns that had become obsolete. regards
