Thanks guys
C_hoff, I will use german army figures and vehicles from WW2 era. There will also be some US and Rusian soldiers for the fighting scenes. This house will be used as a warehouse. It will be a part of my big diorama.I'll also make an storage bunker, suround it all with metal fences and put the guard house and of course allot of other stuff. I already have a few Tamiya german soldiers that are carying ammo boxes, an Mercedes truck full of suplies etc.I'll make some cardboard boxes, buy some drums, fuel cans and such things.
It will be a huge thing

It's been a spell since I last visited here actually. This is a really good thread, and I just couldn't resist putting in my $.02 here.

A couple sites dedicated to bunkers. Check out their link sections as well. These two are en francaise, but the pics are all you really need:

http://site.voila.fr/bunkers
http://fesma.free.fr/index2.html

I recently freaked out, and bought several new books...
Fortress Third Reich: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 75-2261546
German Artillery of WWII: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 75-2261546
Germany's West Wall (Siegfried line): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books
& Encyclopedia of German Tanks of World War Two (seems to be out of print, but one of the best books out there on german armor): http://dogbert.abebooks.com/servlet/Boo ... =351082372

I'm hoping to start making some bunkers, but I've been really slow to get moving on it. I'm trying to bone up on reference material before I give an honest shot @ doing it. Hope some of these links help you guys. If you find any other good bunker websites, post em! :)

Thanks for the links MacRae!
I didn't know about that sites. There will be a lott of good material for new bunkers.
Just yesterday I bought a book "Fortress Europe" by Kaufmann, and I must say that I don't like it much.I expected a lott more of it.It is full of good schemes, but has very few photos.Another thing I don't like is that it covers all Europeans fortifications, and very little about german bunkers (which are my biggest interest).
McRae, it is very good strategy to gather as much informations about bunkers and then start to build.
Than You can be sure that You won't make another one after few months

Ever thought of trying real concrete? Would it work??

EE
I once thought about it. By first building a woodern uhhh... frame/form or what ever it is called (what is build when a bilding is made in concreete, that the concrete is put in while it's drying) then puting real concrete in and let it dry, I thougth that might give it a realistic look. But that would ofcourse by very difficault, so I just made it whit syloform and sparcle. And it is getting godd enoght for me

We call the wooden framework, into which the concrete is poured to set, "shuttering". When it is removed, it leaves the pattern of the wood in the hardened concrete.

Hello Domagoj, nearly two and a half years ago you posted the following message with some pictures:

Hallo,
Here is my new bunker.I made it after two year pause in modelling.
This bunker is originally placed about an km from my home in Zagreb.
I don't know what tipe it is (SK or Regelbau).I only know that it is huge.It measures 32x16x6 meters!
It is the first bunker I made for my new big diorama.I will crash my old one (showed in this topic) and I'll make a new, better and bigger thing.
The bunker is still not finished but take a look

I'm interested in the bunker, you talked about. Do you have some more infos on this one like location, detailed pictures, etc.?

Greetings

Daniel

Hallo Daniel, that bunker is placed in western part of Zagreb. In WW2 it was the city suburb.
About few km's from bunker is a big pharmaceutical factory( Pliva) and some people said that this bunker was used for storaging medical materials from there.
I'm not 100% sure about this information
I can look for some pics of the bunker or even go there some day and take some new photos.
Send me Your e-mail adress on PM
Regards
