Ostmodel

#16

Post by prejo » 01 Oct 2002, 09:59

Hi,

I've tried the page and indeed it's not working. I don't understand what happened to it. I visited that page last week 8O . Maybe you can try a search for "ostmodel" on the Net and see the results...

I really don't remember the prices (or if any prices there) but you'll find somehow, somewhere those prices...

regards,
prejo

Hi Serban,
I looked at the sitre you mentioned. The Michael's Cross/roundel in the top left corner looks very familiar, don't you think? Exactly like the ones on a perticular site I own.

He could at least have asked for my permission to take it. Oh well, this is Romania!

The roundel was the pre-war insignia, in (July) 1941 was replaced with King Michael's Cross.
Actually the order to replace the rooundels and to paint theaircraft according to the new Eastern Front markings, was given on 13 June. The ARR entered the war (22 June 1941) with the new markings, not with the roundels, as someone might understand from your post (that is in July 41).

As I understand, some officers profited from Nicu Ceausescu's tour of duty in the air force and suggested that the old roundels replace the stars with roundels.

Victor I ask your forgiveness for that roundel. I had no ideea that the webmaster used your work! I'll contact him today and ask him to have the roundel removed from there!

Sorry again and hope this won't alter our relationship.

PS You're right about the months. I posted by mistake July instead of June.

TACAM R-2

#22

Post by SirTenzan » 17 Nov 2002, 00:03

Hello,

Does anyone have any details on the interior of the TACAM R-2? A friend of mine is trying to build a kit of this vehicle, but he wants to detail it's interior before finishing it out. Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Hi Edward,

I have in plan to take a visit to Military Museum here in Bucharest in order to take some pictures to TACAM's interior. Unfortunatelly I haven't so much time for me, or for my models (due to my baby-daughter :D ) but if I'll "succeed" I'll post some pictures here...

Prejo,

Thanks for the heads up! I wasn't even aware that there were any TACAMs left in the world. In any case if you do ever happen to get some pictures taken could you per chance E-mail them to me? My E-mail address is [email protected]. I'm not on the computer nearly as frequently as I used to be, and I'm afraid that I might miss them given the fact that I'm not often here. Thanks in advance, and thanks again for the heads up!

Regards,

Edward May~SirTenzan
