Depends on what is being built. 1/72 for small combatants such as MTBs. 1/500 for surface ships. With the exquisite detail today 1/700 is best. I refer to naval only.

1/72 has been my preference for aircraft and vehicles for a long time now. The kits are affordable, available in many variants, don't fill too much shelf space, etc

Hi gebhk.

I bought a couple of Plastic Soldier Company kits a few weeks ago both in 1/72, one was Pz IIIs and the other Pz IVs, now the kits built well, the road wheels are a let down but it made for a quick build, but to my horror the Panzer IIIs are virtually the same size as the Mk IVs, which is wrong.
If I would have known this before hand, I would have bought my Pz IIIs elsewhere.
PSC should be aware of this and sort it out!

Hopefully they will but as a table top wargames model I doubt itm. Same goes for Armourfast. I like those kits because they remind me of my early days building very simple and easy to assemble Airfix/Matchbox type kits, don't break the bank, and give enough to build one together with someone. Used one in the past to give a friend something to do when he was recovering from surgery.
