Hi Christian, yes and, after buying kits for at least 20 odd years, I can see how that happens. It does give a person a little guilt to deal with. Even though I intended to build what I bought, when I reached a point where I had a substantial backlog a few years ago, I began to feel guilty about any new purchases. Not guilty enough to quit buying, but definitely guilty. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a cure for either "serial buying" or for feeling guilty afterwards.
Best Regards, David :D

It's like those people with eating disorders. They eat and eat, even thouigh they feel guilty :P

I know a modeller who has around 2800 unbuilt kits, and has built in the last 7 years only 139 of those, and in the meantime, he keeps on buying more and more. 8O

You Guys really aren't helping here!

How about a little support folks? Just say, yeah, David it's okay. We think you should keep buying and buying and buying......

Or, well if you stop buying the major model makers might fold up.

Any encouragement is appreciated!

(P.S. Off-topic, did you see the magnificent photos of the yet to be released Tamiya T-55 on Missing Lynx's "Modern Forum"? I already have three on order from Hobby Link Japan--and I don't care what you say!!!)

Very Best Regards, David

Well, we support you - we are just proving that it's perfectly normal ;)

Also, if all model makers would actually build a model before buying a new one, al of the model manuyfacturers would be out of business.

PS, I don't look at non-WWII tanks ;)

Heh Heh! Well Christian, there was a time when I wouldn't buy anything
"used by Nazi or Fascist" nations!!!!
That's the thing with these rules we impose on ourselves--eventually they become too confining.

I started off by building anything in 1:72, then when I went over to 1:35, retricted myself to Panzers only. Then added any Geran AFV, now I find some of the Allied AFV are cool too! Now I collect, and one day build, any AFV from WW2. Perhaps one day I will include also NATO??
I would love to build the RAF Regt CVRT AFVs, but then I served in the Royal Air Force Regiment 1973-1989.

They're going to start having TRF sales at model shops and hobby shops soon once this gets out.

Hey Bill

Hey Bill, AFV-Club makes a good Scorpion and Scimitar in 1/35th, the only drawback being that the tracks are kind of delicate. If you want to spend real money and don't mind the hassles of working in resin (you can only superglue it and I can tell you, supergluing your finger to a model tank is definitely un-cool!) than try the Accurate Armour 1/35th series of that vehicle. They cover most versions and are a Scottish Firm (Glasgow, I'm pretty certain). Best Regards, David :D

Thanks for the info David, one day I would like to put some of my Falklands pictures on the Forum, perhaps "non-ww2" section?

To my great shame I have to admit that there are some 90 kits in my house all 1/35 and all with Aber or Eduard, and all the plans that I have........

I still have some Hi-Tech Gunze's,I wonder, what do they go for these days in the US?
I bought them once in the certainty that they will be wanted kits some day,one of my great ideas.......

Cheers Rick
