Very good, but small one in the Springfield area. It's off the beaten path, but it's worth it.

Relatively new one about 45 minutes S. of Springfield. Not been there, but I've heard good things about it.

Another great one near St. Louis...

CRM Hobbies
3326 Watson Rd
St Louis, MO 63139
314-645-1117
This almost hidden South St. Louis hobby shop is for the model enthusiast and the model enthusiast only. Move on if you're looking for anything else because they won't have it. Walking in you are immediately confronted by nothing but models piled to the ceiling. They offer cars, trucks, planes and other figures, but there is no doubt that the specialty here is military models. Whether it's a Soviet tank or German jeep, you'll find just about any military model you can imagine amongst the bunker-like stacks. Owner Chris Merseal specializes in hard-to-find items and out-of-production kits. While he claims he'll find it if they haven't got it, it's unimaginable that CRM wouldn't already have what you're looking for somewhere in the store. -- Cary Anthens
