Bf 109

Does anyone know the best single-volume comprehensive book on the Bf 109? Particularly its later variants? The "dream" book would be one with color profiles and markings and perhaps a cutaway?

Thanks,

Valkarie

Are you looking for development of the aircraft or combat use? Are you looking for English or other language? Are you searching for something that will help you build a model(s)?

Though the following two books do not have color profiles, they do cover the development of the Bf 109:

Messerchmitt Bf 109 A - E, Development, Testing, Production by Willy Radinger & Wolfgang Otto, publisher is Schiffer
Messerchmitt Bf 109 F - K, Development, Testing, Production by Willy Radinger & Wolfgang Otto, publisher is Schiffer

For a overview the the history and usage of the aircraft and with color profiles:

The Augsburg Eagle, A Documentary History Messerschmitt Bf 109 by WIlliam Green, published by Janes. This title is rather old and its contents has been shown to be in error. The errors are based on later found documentation which were not available to the author.

MMP Books - Bf 109 Late Versions Camouflage & Markings by Krzysztof Wotowski. As the title suggest, this book covers the 109 G5/AS, G6/AS, G14, G14/AS, G10, K-4 variants. There are many color profiles for each aircraft.

Since its been several days your post has been up without any replies suggests that a single comprehensive book may not exist.

Well, what do you know. About an hour or so after I post my first reply, I came across the following book,

Messerschmitt Bf 109 : the complete monography Paperback – 2016

https://www.amazon.com/Messerschmitt-Bf ... ir_all_158

I do not have this one so maybe it is what you are looking for.
