Many thanks for the kind words about what I have come to think of as "V2".
I am particularly proud of the TN chapter and have Dave Landers to thank for his monumental and generous help with this.
But I would hasten to add that I put all I could into the other chapters (Schupo, Gempo, Gendarmerie) and hope that they will satisfy readers too, in particular those specialising in those branches.
I am currently trying to come to terms with a personal tragedy and am grateful to have my interest in this series - and other book/magazine article projects - to keep my mind off sadder things.
Thanks to those who have bought the book. And PLEASE, to allow us to learn, improve and share knowledge, write to me, Jack Angolia or Roger Bender (or, even better, post to this Forum) with your comments, corrections and - if possible - additions! All will be shared in future volumes.

First of all, let me say thanks to you and John Angolia for this wonderful reference book. And here are some first-glance corrections.
page 7, line 1: "Graduate of the Virginia Military Institute in 1859";
page 807, line 2: "...for the Reichsamt Technische Nothilde"
page 783, correction to page 372 in Vol.1: "...he was then identified in this same photograph by 'Max History' in his post to Axis History Forum of 14 February 2004..."
page 719, footnote 228: "The capital of Lithuania is Talinn (Reval to Germans)...". Actually, the Talinn is capital of Estonia. The capital of Lithuania is Vilnius (Wilna to Germans).
page 316, line 1: "The Municipal Police (Gemeindepolizei, or Gempo) were the constabula-ies in the small to medium sized towns across Germany".
Regards,
Igor

Hello Hugh,
Can you tell me if this work covers any of the history, etc of the Military Police (ie., Feldgendarmerie, Feldjägerkorps) formations as well as the civil forces already mentioned? If not, will they be part of a future volume, or is the military police formations a subject outside of the scope of this series? Thank you in advance.
