German Military Dictionary (German/English and English/German), Lancer Militaria, ISBN 0-935856-06-4, $20

For $20 this is an essential tool for militaria collectors, historians and readers regardless of their level of German language proficiency. A reprint of a period military dictionary, it has the almost infinite number of terms NOT found in a modern dual language dictionary. Many 3rd Reich period words can’t be deciphered with a modern dictionary by breaking them down, as the partial terms are no longer in use. For those with little language knowledge a great tool for the large number of books in German where essential data can be understood with a limited, but specific, vocabulary.
