Looks interesting, my only concern it might get into veneration style writing per-Kurowski. If you have read any of the books, does it overly glorify the SS?
Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
Do you know whether Volume 5 is due to be released anytime soon?
Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
I am at the final stages of Volume 5.
It will be the thickest volume yet, despite only covering 3 months of the war.
Some final edits to do, then move to create the maps. Will update on when it has gone to Schiffer, then a case of waiting on them adding to their printing schedule.

can you I.D the man on front on volume 4? He hasn't appeared in any of the volumes yet so I assume he will be in 5?krichter33 wrote: ↑28 Mar 2016, 02:17Schiffer is publishing Peter Mooney's Waffen SS Knights and their Battles Vol. 4, to be released late this year.

Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
I've read a lot of vol. IV myself and I must say- great job to the author and the format is very helpful.

Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
don't think so
Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
I also look forward to V5- the subject matter should be especially interesting
Re: Mooney's Waffen SS Knights Vol 4 to be released
Thanks for the ongoing interest folks, appreciated.
Volume 5 is very advanced, but has been delayed for a couple of key reasons - the finishing of the maps (there are 30 in this volume!). Secondly, have focused on building up products for Loyalty and Honour Publishing, which gives me better control over the product and contact. To date, 6 titles available, with No. 7 due to be finished and off to the printer pre-Xmas (hopefully). I already know what the next 2-3 projects will be for LAH Publishing.
However, before I start a new project for LAH Publishing, I will be completing V5 of the Waffen-SS Knights series and get that off to Schiffer. Connected to that, some base work on V6 has been done, but here and there, have not specifically focused on that volume yet!
As some of you have touched on, it should make for an interested read - can only confirm it will. June to August 1944, covering Normandy and Tannenberg Line mainly, with 80 additional awards. I guestimate that the finished item could be up to 50% thicker than any previous volume.
Regarding the expected 2 remaining volumes, each one will cover more people, so the time / research needed is more and more for each volume.
Once there is more to update, will share here. Thanks again for the ongoing support and interest in this overall concept.
Regards
Peter
