Hi folks...This is my first post here, although I've been a member for years, and look in for reference at times...I've published a book concerning my uncle's service aboard a US Navy small coastal transport, APc-48 (hence the title) during the Pacific War, and how his service coincided with that of other members of my family in the war...I know it's unusual for an old Air Force guy to take such an interest in what the swabbies did in the war, but it just intrigued me...
Here's the link to the book: http://www.lulu.com/shop/ben-young/apc- ... 81133.html
And a link to others I've written if anyone has an interest: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Truckman
I found enough information later to write a second volume which includes information on other Navy support ships as well...It should be ready for publication later this year...If anyone has any personal stories of service on the APc's (small coastal transports), I'd like to hear them for possible inclusion in the new book...Thanks... Ben
"APc-48"...
