Panzerkorps G.D. (3 volumes) is one of my favorite WW2 reads. It's very rich and expansive.

There is supplementary material. Panzer Regiment G.D by Jung and the new "Panzergrenadiers to the Front" is about the spin off division, Brandenburg.

Panzerkorps GD (3 volumes) by Helmuth Spaeter for unit history of the division, sister units and Panzerkorps GD and Uniforms & Insignia of the Grossdeutschland Division (3 volumes) by Scott Pritchett for tons of photos and details on the uniforms and paperwork of the division as well as unit history of the various components of GD & FBB.
Both read well.

Like a divisional history..I would say that it is better written than the average one. G.D is interesting because it did an enormous amount of fighting and in many places.

I felt it was too complicated for an 'average' reader, the way it read was more suited to people who have an understanding of Military. I have found this is the only book like it I have come across so far!

thank you, is Amazon the best place to buy this series? do you know of anywhere cheaper? In the forum rules it says this:

You can support AHF when buying books etc from Amazon, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de by using these links.
It costs you nothing extra but it helps keep the forum up and running.

I do not understand how this works?

You click on the relevant Amazon link and it takes you to that site where you buy books as per usual.

Try Ebay or Bookfinder for cheaper copies but, thanks to the internet, sellers tend to know the general asking price is so they sell at the top end including second hand books.

You have The Forgotten Soldier by Guy Sajer but as to whether it's fact or fiction is open to debate (and there are numerous threads on here covering that topic).
