Just read...*Hitler's Greatest Defeat**review
Just finished Hitlers Greatest Defeat..The Collapse of Army Group Center,June,1944,author Paul Adair..He details the defeat and retreat of Army Group Center,June 1944 against the Russian onslaught. All in all a good read, has some facts I had *heard about*but he wrote in detailsome were kind of shocking. However, all in all a book lacking in followup,he writes of an incident or event of a given day, hour, then no folloiwup as to the end result.Same to soldiers, will give a stiory of a breakout, then nothing afte rthat to finish up, weird...… I had to read the entire book a 2nd time after a month to see what I missed, as the chronological order seemed slightly out of wack..But, if you can get acopy on the cheap, get it for a weekend read.or contact me for my copy, lol

I read the book too and found it lackluster.

Yeah, kind of so basic with not much deep detail, he left you wanting more.

I though that Dunn's "Soviet Blitzkrieg" plus the Soviet General Staff study on the offensive were much better. Still, however, not Glantz quality-

Isn't there a book on the topic by Gerd Niepold? I have not read it but most reviewers seem to say it is the best one.
