Reccomended reading on WW2 North African air campaign?
Hi everyone!
I'm looking for book reccomendations on WW2 air campaign in North African theatre. Something that would describe efforts of Luftwaffe Fliegefuhrer Afrika and RAF Western Desert Air Force for the period of 1941-1942 in Libya and Egypt. In english, if available.
If there is a book written in the form of Barrie Pitt's Crucible of War, but which covers air force (instead of ground forces), that would be perfect
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Hyperwar has material on the South African Air Forces. I believe they served "up north". Off base right now, sorry.

Of course that would be Christopher shores's "A History of the Mediterranean Air War 1940-1945", Vol. 1: North Africa, June 1940-January 1942 and Vol. 2: North African Desert, February 1942 - March 1943jurisnik wrote: ↑30 Sep 2019, 12:21Hi everyone!

Vol 3: Tunisia & The End in Africa is also available which covers from November 1942 to May 1943. You probably won't find better than these 3 volumes (Vol 4 covers the invasions of Sicily & Italy in 1943).
