Excellent new book first volume in the Stalingrad trilogy covers the period from 28 June to 11 September 1942
Written by a very good author !

I like this osprey, a good summary of the Don Bend and entry point prior to Glantz & Mark.

A lot of interesting photos, diagrams/maps, and a few good illustrations. A much needed update to replace the older and now out of date Stalingrad Osprey.

Not to mention that sometimes these books are the only available monographs on little known battles (not the case here, naturally).
