Luftwaffe Bomber crew memoirs?
Any recommendations, particulary those that used the JU-88 and HE-111?

I'd be interested as well, particularly those operating over Normandy in 1944 - fighter bombers would be close enough!

Re: Luftwaffe Bomber crew memoirs?
Thanks for the recommendations so far, I just bought 3 books recommended here.
To add there is a re-print of "Blitz Bombers" coming out in May. While I don't have the book yet I have read the (likely) abridged version which is osprey booklet "Arado Ar234 Bomber and Reconnasance units" (Beale and Forsyth). It is detailed and very informative. There were Jet bomber veterans, particularly bomber commanders of KG76 that were interviewed, and they have accounts in there of training, unit development, technical observations, and operations (late 1944 - 1945).

I received a copy of "Luftwaffe Fighter-Bombers over Britain The Tip and Run Campaign, 1942-1943". It has a lot of personal accounts of Luftwaffe Figther-bomber pilots.

This one is good if you can find it at a reasonable price.
Memoirs of a Stuka Pilot
by Helmut Mahlke
I think it's been published at least twice in recent years, so check around to get the best deal.

Re: Luftwaffe Bomber crew memoirs?
This is also a good one:
An Eagle's Odyssey: My Decade as a Pilot in Hitler's Luftwaffe
by Johannes Kaufmann
Firstly, for the many different types of aircraft flown.
Secondly, for the numerous theatres of war he experienced.
Lastly, for the vivid writing style and meticulous attention to detail which makes this book a real pleasure to read.
If you are especially interested in the Luftwaffe or else biographies of "everyday" German servicemen, this is an essential addition to your reading list.
