Hello All,
I feel bad asking because I know this topic must have been covered before but for whatever reason, I have had difficulty locating it here, on google or anywhere else...
OKW has a war diary in multiple volumes - the last one I saw was consolidated into 8 volumes and covers many things with around 1000 pages per volume.
1) Is there anything that resembles this for OKH that is available for purchase? (Aside from the Halder OKH KTB which covers up to 1942, but not the rest of the war.. I'm looking for one that covers years 43-44 specifically)
2) If not available for purchase, are places like NARA and Bundesharchiv - and websites that make some of the rolls available - the best places to go for this?
3) Why the disparity? Why is there a readily available KTB for OKW in volume form but not one for OKH?
Anyway, I'm basically looking for a KTB of the OKH like there is for the OKW... one that would atleast cover years 1943-1944. I'd appreciate any thoughts or insight! Maybe the stenographic records of military conferences (1942-1945) is the closest equivalent???
Thank you
Kriegstagebuch OKH
Re: Kriegstagebuch OKH
Here are some entries for April 1945

In BA-MA there is a volume for the 1939 campaign IIRC. I need to search for the signature.
As for the rest, I don't think there was any continuous "KTB OKH" running from 1939 to 1945. In fact most of the "KTB OKW" series is NOT a pure "KTB", but "Tagesmeldungen/Lageberichten" etc etc.

Re: Kriegstagebuch OKH
All - thanks for the responses on this.
It sounds like for the latter part of the war, there really is no kriegstagebuch for the OKH like there was for the OKW.
So the primary solution is Tagesmeldungen/Lageberichten, and some stuff which is individually available online in bits and pieces.
Sounds like i'll have to be making a trip to the archives I really appreciate the input !!
Best Regards
