Thinking of getting this title and was wondering if anyone has a comment on it?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Are you referring to "Chronicle of the 7. Panzer-Kompanie: I. SS-Panzer Division : 'Leibstandarte'" by Ralf Tiemann or a different book?

Hi Guys, I read that book about two years ago and found it to be fascinating. It's a straight-foward account of a Panzer Company that always used some version of the Pz. IV. The narrative is very crisp and
interspersed with plenty of good crew accounts. I highly recommend it and my only regret is that no one has published a similar book on a Panther Company. Best Regards, David :D :D :D :D

Guys :

thought it was also a good read. Unfortunately the author left the story( took on other duties), you might say about 3/4 r's the way through the book and you get the feeling that other crews have to finish up to make the book complete. Would of liked to have seen more pics of late marks of the Pz IV in the Ardenne and in Hungary, but oh well.
There was a book on 3./Pz 12 Panther Komapnie, written by the Gemeinschaft in 12 th SS Pz. Division some time ago........cannot say if it is still in print or not.

The 7.(Pz.)Komp. wasn't around yet in 1939. It was formed in Sennelager in early 1942 when the Leibstandarte became a Panzergrenadier-Division.
