Göring Master Bibliography
This is a bibliography of the material relating directly to the life and career of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring. Though this list does include memoirs from the period it does not include general histories. This bibliography had been compiled by myself and Häschen, using books we have read, the bibliographies in those books, various library catalogs (primarily Hoover Institution, Library of Congress, University of Chicago). Do note the following:
— This list includes original works in their original languages as well as translations of those works into English. We have tried to list multiple editions for the sake of completeness and, when differences in these editions are known to us these are noted.
— It does not pretend to be complete. Please post any additions you may have and I will add them to the list.
— It may be wrong. Please post any corrections you may have and I will adjust the list.
— It lacks annotation. Please comment on the books so that we can flesh this out with more information.

Hallo,
You may want to add:
Olynyk, Frank J. "The Combat Records of Hermann Göring",
Over the Front, Vol. 10, No. 3 (Fall 1995), 195-235.
The article is an English language translation of Göring's combat records in World War I. It also contains some excellent photos of Göring, his planes, and his squadron.
Best Regards,
Durand

I heartily second Durand's addition - EXCELLENT material!
A complete chronological list of all Göring’s promotions, commands, assignments and government positions is contained in this work (pp. 369-370):
• Hildebrand, Karl-Friedrich. Die Generale der Deutschen Luftwaffe, 1935-1945, Band 1 (Abernetty-v. Gyldenfeldt), 1935-1945. Biblio Verlag, Osnabrück, Germany, 1990.
Essentially the same information with a different photograph is likewise contained in the following work (pp. 328-330):
• Bradley, Dermot; Hildebrand, Karl-Friedrich; Rövekamp, Markus. Die Generale des Heeres, 1921-1945, Band 4 (Fleck-Gyldenfeldt). Biblio Verlag, Osnabrück, Germany, 1996.
Best regards,
Shawn

Re: Göring Master Bibliography
Per the original listing, we can add
Peter Kildruff “Hermann Göring: Fighter Ace”
G.M. Gilbert “Psychology of Dictatorship”
Jack El Hai “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist”
To answer above, I recommend Leonard Mosley’s biography.
I think it’s the best overall portrait and well written. A page turner.

Re: Göring Master Bibliography
My and Andreas Schulz's upcoming SA-Führer: The Senior Leadership of Hitler's Storm Troops, 1920-1945, Volume 1 (Oberster SA-Führer & SA-Stabschef) will contain a biographical chronology of Göring with ca. 150 pages of text plus 275 photos. It will be released later this year by Fonthill Media.
Best wishes,
~ Mike

Re: Göring Master Bibliography
I concur with above. I want to mention also that the late Blaine Taylor produced 4 volumes of photo books from the Reichsmarshall’s private albums. These are adequate productions despite minor flaws of wrong chronology in places and subpar photographic prints. Volume 5 posthumously published is due out end of March:

Re: Göring Master Bibliography
Thank you very much, Paul. I'll be sure to broadcast the news everywhere I can.
I am hopeful that Volume 2 will be simultaneously released. I'm currently working on Volume 3, and specifically at this moment on a very detailed biographical sketch of Edmund Heines.
Best wishes,
~ MIke

Re: Göring Master Bibliography
Thank you for mentioning Blaine's work, which should be cited in the bibliography of every book featuring Göring from now onward. This decade has already proven quite cruel- Roger Bender, Dr. Dieter Zinke, Dr. Geoff Megargee (the USHMM's Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos), Blaine Taylor...J.
