Hi Marcus and all,
Romulus was right, since the members are from all over the world, the books might not be in English.
Also, the books printed in England, or elsewhere, might not be available in Canada. I have never bought anything on the internet before (don't trust online shopping enough yet ).
Well, thanks for the website, I could use it to browse for potential books to buy.

Books
Just a thought, but if you are really interested in the W-SS divisional histories let me mention a gentleman that responded to your post. Mr. Mark Yerger. Write him privately for information on his Das Reich volumes and his other W-SS histories and his new book on DK winners. You will not be dissappointed, they are some of the best written.......

Waffen-SS books
Some more recommendations:
- "Soldiers of Destruction" by Charles Sydnor, already mentioned in JohnRay Taylor's post. Very good divisional history of the Totenkopf-Division, includes biographical info on Theodor Eicke and interesting information about the division's early days and the connections between the Waffen-SS and the concentration camp system. Very well written and even entertaining, too.
- "The Cruel Hunters" by French L. MacLean about the most notorious Waffen-SS formation, Oskar Dirlewanger's Sonderkommando. Sometimes a bit dry for my taste, but thoroughly researched and informative and still the best book about this subject.
- "Hitler's Gladiator" by Charles Messenger. Good biography of Sepp Dietrich with info about the Leibstandarte's history, too. Some interesting and rarely-seen photographs as well.
"Riding East" by Mark Yerger, about the SS Cavalry Brigade. Beautifully made, very informative, illustrated with interesting b/w photographs throughout.
- "Renegades" by Adrian Weale. Not a book about the Waffen-SS per se, but rather about British traitors in World War II. However, it includes excellent info on the "British Free Corps" of the Waffen-SS. I've always found this unit very interesting, although or maybe because it was so totally obscure.
