I just got this books and when I started to look at the pictures I noticed that Osprey Men at arms german army 1939-45 has taken almost all of its images from this book. That's sad.

However, I highly recommend this book which is filled with all sorts of information. If one looks for colour pictures one should look elsewhere. My only wishes for this book was that it contained a little bit more on the different camouflage uniforms. It doesn't cover Waffen SS.

Brian L Davis has written a very good refterence book with many good photos. This will be an asset.

Please tell me about any questions!

Charlie,
You have what is, as far as I am aware, one of the genuine classics of the period! Brain L. Davies's work is almost certainly the best and most comprehensive guides to the uniforms of the period (His work on insignia & badges is worth getting as well!).

Rgards from the Park,

Rich
