I am reading The Order of the Death's Head : The Story of Hitler's SS by Heinz Hohne.

It is a interesting read.

I would recommend it to all interested in SS.

Where do you get your books from? Do you order them online or buy them in stores. If you get them online what place? All of the books I have got recently have been from the local bookstore.

eg Stalingard
Himmlers unlikely death
Too young to be a soldier

I purchase most of my books from the internet.

Have a look at this site :

http://www.angelraybooks.com/

However I do purchase quite a few books from the Dymocks bookstore at the Chermside Westfield who always have a large range of Third Reich material in their Militaria Section.

I would recommend paying this store a visit.

From memory I bought the Himmler book you are referring to from this store.

The large Angus & Robertson store in town in also good.

I think the best book about the Waffen-SS is "When all our brothers are silent" it has the ISBN Nr. 3-921242-5 you can buy it in your local book store but there it is very expenssive arround 65€ but it is in two languages german and english or look at ebay there you can get it for arround 30€.
Another book is "Die 12.SS-Panzer-Division Hitlerjugend" it is an good book with much pictures but less writing it costs arround 12€ and they´re some more books about different SS Divisions in this serie of books ISBN Nr. is 3-89555-046-9
And the book "Brände an der Oder" it is the first band of the book the second one is "Und gaben die Hoffnung nicht auf" the ISBN Nr. for the first book is 3-920139-02-X.
Look for Munin-Verlag in the Internet there you can find some good books about Waffen-SS from ex-soldiers of the Waffen-SS or vor Verlag Nation Europa they will always have some good books about this theme!

I make a trip there every fortnight.

A great store.

Have put a lot of money through there.

The guys that work there know a fair bit about their subject as well.
