Pontoon Bridges and assault boats
Re: Pontoon Bridges and assault boats
Hi Sturm 78,
comparing the two bridges with this Brückengerät, I think that it is the captured Czechoslovakian Brückengerät (t).
Best regards
Bert

The pontoons of my image have flat ends but the pontoons of your image have raised ends... although we can see only a end......
Here, another image from Ebay: Brückengerät A pontoon bridge ???

Hi Sturm 78,
Your doubts are justified. I was not looking at the pontoons, but on the way, how the beams are joined. But it isn´t a Brückengerät A pontoon bridge on Your pic.
That´s Brückengerät A pontoon bridge on the image of ebay.

Hi Sturm 78,
You are really right. It is very difficult to identify the bridge building equipments. Here two more pics: first Czechoslovakian, second German equipment A.

Hi Sturm 78,
thank You very much for this pic. Really interesting. The pontoons and the bridge are Austrian, but I have some doubts, that it is the modern M36 bridge equipment. The M 36 is metallic, and here it is wooden.
