Hi Sturm 78,

an interesting question. I was comparing the pontoons of all countries in Europe with these Bulgarian ones, but I could find only a similar type of the German Army used during WW I, a so-called "Halbponton" of the "Divisionsbrückentrain".

Best regards

Bert

Hi all,

I am not sure about the exact model of this bridge equipment: K material ?? :?
Note the outboard engines on the pontoons...I think they are the same engines of the Sturmboot 39...

Hi Sturm 78,

You are totally right. That´s K material and pontons of it. And the engines are the same of the Sturmboot 39. A very interesting pic. I have only seen these engines used for a ferry on a single pic. Thanks for posting.

Best regards

Hi Sturm 78,

comparing the pics of bridges with the same Brückengerät You posted, I think that it is the captured Czechoslovakian Brückengerät (t). Here a pic of a pontoon of this Brückengerät (source: "Deutsche Pionier 1939 - 1945" by Zentralarchiv der Pioniere).

Best regards
