Confiscated Allied equipment in Market-Garden

#1

Post by K.Kocjancic » 21 Apr 2003, 17:33

During and after the operation Market-Garden, had Germans confiscated a lot of British/American equipment.

Are there some numbers of how many Jeeps, trucks, tanks,... and fire-arms were confiscated by Germans? I have 5 pictures with captured Jeeps (in one is also SS-Ostubaf. Harzer).

I'd be surprised if any meaningful number of Allied tanks fell into German hands during the Market Garden operation, unlike small arms and light transport equipment.

Well I know that the Germans did not use any Allied gliders that had landed in their territory by mistake.
