Parts of unknown equipment (some Übertragungsgerät?)

Post by OdoHerr » 30 Jul 2017 16:45

Hi everybody

Could anyone identify these parts of equipment which I guess may belong to some kinda Übertragungsgerät (connecting equipment) between a Horchgerät and a Scheinwerfer? Hereunder general and detailed views.
I have been unable to find any documentation, or any picture of it either. At least some pictures would be highly appreciated.

Together with those, were these parts; dunno if they come from the the same equipment, or from another one.

If anyone can help, many thanks in advance.

Hello OdoHerr,

Could the panel belong to some a device that was connected to an infrared transmitter/sensor?
Wehrmacht Infrarot-Scheinwerfer had blue glasses, hence perhaps the "blaulicht"-indication,

Just a thought,
Best regards,
Ger

Hello OdoHerr,

The last 4 pictures show (most probably) parts of a Scheinwerfer-Richtgerät C-43 (K) 200.
The large circular opening contained the dome.

Best regards,

Ger

It's most likely part of the master searchlight system controlled by a Wurtzbürg radar. These searchlights had a blue tinted lens so the other searchlight crews in the battery with manually controlled searchlights could pick it out and focus their light on it too. I've read a number of accounts by RAF bomber crews about how the master, blue, searchlight would be shining straight up, tilt over and lock their aircraft then other white searchlights would frame the plane.

The master searchlight was motor controlled from the Wurtzbürg inputs and it looks from the labeling you have one of the panels that hooks the two together.

Seems like Your right. Added part of a photo. Have marked the similar parts.
