Sturm,
Here are three images from Schiffer's book on Searchlights (and fire control ).

The first shows the moving frames on the front of the lamp lens. The book comments that in use, these were not common.

The second shows the sw 150 37, and the third shows the sw 150 34. The book notes that the basic difference between the two scheinwerfers was the "shape of the support arms." Those on the 37 were tubular, and those on the 34 were plates.

Note the difference in appearance of the elevation receiver in my photos and yours. Is this because in my photos a cover has been removed?

regards,
John

Hi Garlock,

In your images you can see the round lamps data receivers (numbers 32 and 71) in Flakscheinwerfer 34 and 37, not pointers as in my image.

Hi Garlock,

Well, I am not sure 100% but almost. If you look at the base of the searchlight is identical to that of the Sw 34 and 37. The shape of the support arms of the lamp do not correspond to Sw 37, so we just have the Sw 34.

The only thing unusual is the pointer data receiver.

Nobody for my last images? :(

Well, I found this image on Ebay and I have some doubts about this searchlight:

First: I think 150cm Flak Sw.37 but I am not 100% sure. Can somebody confirm this?
Second: The trailer is not the standard Sd.Ah.104. I have seen more images of 150cm german searchlights with this rare trailer. Does anyone have any information about this question?

Thanks in advance. Sturm78

HI all,

I found these images on http://www.militaiarg.com. These images seems demostrate that Argentina bought german searchlights during the 1930s.
These searchlights have not the standard Sd.Ah.104 trailer as the german Luftwaffe searchlights.

China and Spain were another buyers for these searchlights.

In the book "Flak artillery of the Legion Condor" these searchlights are designated Siemens Model G.

Does anybody have more information about these searchlights and her buyers?
Are these searchlights the Flakscheinwerfer.34-37 on different trailer or a totaly different equipment?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I found this interesting image on Ebay.
I'm almost sure that this searchlight is of Dutch origin. I remember had seen this this searchlight model somewhere on the web long time ago, but I can not find it again. :(

Does anyone have any information?

Hi Sturm
I think you are correct in stating it is a Dutch searchlight.
