Hi all,

I need help with this Italian AA fire director.
See also the image posted here on 30 Jan 2015 and 07 Apr 2012. It seems a fixed model, maybe for coastal AA batteries....

I know the following Italian fire director models:

Mod.37 GALA
Mod.40 GAMMA (Hungarian GAMMA-Juhász)
Mod.41 BGS

The fire director of my image is none of these models. Any idea ?? :?

Hi Sturm!

Thanks for the nice picture!
Two memoirs of soldiers, who used to operate the MALSI Gerät, state that data was received via phone (the one mentiones " per Mikrofon", the other "durch Köpfhörer").

Cheers,
Angel

Hi Sturm,

About #92:
Looks like a KDO 40 with some extra modules attached.
Purpose unknown: Some kind of camera's for calibration of traing purposes?
See attached pictures

These are cameras used for training, they were recording various parametres calculated by the director.

The KdoGer 40, eqiped with cameras, is prepared for evaluation of crew training.

All cameras were triggered by pressing the Start button on the KdoGer, in addition 2 cinetheodolites with exactly measured base were used for the evaluation.
Once camera films were developed and data recorded on the films was drawn on an evaluation paper, it was possible to determine the quality of firing data obtained by the crew of the KdoGer. 40.

This method made shooting the real Flaks on a target drone obsolete and allowed for very precize evaluation of crew training.

Hi Sturm,

Pictures are taken in Argentina, source:
https://www.zona-militar.com/foros/thre ... 492/page-2

The rangefinder on the WIKOG probably is a 4m Nedinsco.
The same type of rangefinder is present on a number of Hazemeyer predictors (see #97, note the handles)
Nedinsco (a Carl-Zeiss subsidiary) had a factory in Venlo, The Netherlands.
But it is possible that the the WIKOG 9 SH predictors were manufactured elsewhere.

Thanks for your answer, Paidoskixos

Do you know if these Hazemeyer directors were manufactured during WW2 under German control?
