Re: FuMG 64 images
Hi Henning,
It is a Hörnchen, which was part of the Celebes system used to establish the trajectory of V-2s.

Hi SES
Thank you for ID, I never hear about this Typ/version. Do you have some Information about the "trailer" version about the Würzburg? its on the same V2 site. I asked here in "Luftwaffe und Marine Radarsites"
best regards

Re: FuMG 64 images
Hi SES
very interessting ! I read about a railway version and the typical würzburg stations. but never of a trailer or " protzbare" version???
Is it possible that you post some pictures about this special version? In my sources the told about a payload from 4500 KG , SdAh 204. Is that enough for a Würzburg? The SdAh 203 had a payload from 10.000 Kg!
best regards
Henning

Re: FuMG 64 images
Hi Henning,
This was the standard trailer for the Würzburg with the 3 m reflector, not to be confused with the Würzburg-Riese with the 7 m reflector, which was only found in a static and a railway version.

Re: FuMG 64 images
Ok SES
You are right, we must discus so exactly as possible. Sorry
I think on the V" site , they talk about a Würzburg Riese and like my opinion its a protzbare Lafette like a mobile Version. Whats your opinion. There for my question about the payload.
Here the picture
Best regards
Henning

Hi Henning,
That is a Nashorn also part of the Celebes system. AFAICT it is mounted on a 12,8 cm Flak Lafette.

Hi SES
very interessting! but also very special! The V2 is well known but this equipement is for me complet unknown.
what is the different between a "Hörnchen" and a "Nashorn"? ok the messurement
but where they use for? the smaller for the lower parabel and the bigger for the control of the higher parabel of a V2?
do you have a picture in a transport situation?
Do you have a list about all units of aV2 start? Launch unit, controll unit , maintenance and technical units? some think like a KstN?
ähhh.... what do you meen with AFAICT
best regards
Henning

Re: FuMG 64 images
Hi Henning,
Please note that these systems never made it beyond the experimental stage so they were never fielded.
Sorry no I don't have a KStN, but try to have a look here:
