Re: Pontoon Bridges and assault boats
Awesome Bert!
I've spent years trying to find a suitable drawing of the M-Boot so I can build a 1/35 scale model...
Is it possible that you give the adress of the Russian site the drawing comes from?
Thanks again!
Cheers,
Angel

Hi Angel,
sorry, I don´t know the Russian site any more. But I have copied the whole article ""Немецкий буксирно-моторный катер 100 л.с." by engineer lieutenant colonel I. F. Korolev and I can send it to You.
Regards
Bert

Re: Pontoon Bridges and assault boats
Thank you very much for your information and drawing, BertBert wrote
here is a pic of the so-called M-Boot (abbreviation for Motorboot) from a Russian site.
These motorboats were part of the Brückenkolonne B with bridge building material B. Each of the two platoons had a M-Boot on the trailer Sd.Anh. 13.
AFAIK there were different models:
M-Boot 28, 36, 41 and 43, but all with a 100 hp engine produced by Maybach or Selve. Sorry, I don´t know the differences between these models.
And here a M-Boot in action pulling pontoons of Brückengerät B.
I think the most common Motorboot was the M-Boot 36. I think the boat of my image is larger....perhaps any other model: M-Boot 28, 41 or 43.....

Hi Angel,
here a good pic of the old model of the M-Boot 28 (source of the pic: Waffen-Arsenal Band 155 "Heeresübliche Kraftfahrzeuge und Anhänger der Reichswehr" by Wolfgang Fleischer).
Best regards

Re: Pontoon Bridges and assault boats
Hi Sturm 78,
excuse me, please, for my late reply, but the war in the Ukraine is keeping me from this forum.
To Your question about the pontoon bridge:
Yes, You are right, it is a Dutch pontoon bridge, but I´m sorry I cannot tell You the designation. Here a pic of such a Dutch pontoon bridge in action.
Best regards
Bert
