The early German S boats had oak keels and frames, cedar decks and mahogony double diagonal skin eg S2 to S5. With the new classes of S boat weIght rose and when the S14/15 design was completed it was felt that the limit for wooden based S Boats had been reached. Succeeding classes were over 100 tons which was felt to be the limit for wooden vessels of this type.
German Coastal Forces of WW2 M J WhitleyISBN 1 85409 085 2 see p23 on for greater details.
The Kriegsfischkutter displaced c 110 tons and was a wooden vessel based on a fishing trawler design but intended for escort and patrol use. Such vessels were used in Norway, France, Baltic, Black Sea, Mediterranean. By June 1944 the production of these vessels was given the second highest production priority. 45 such vessels were ordered in Sweden and several hundred were built.
Warship number 39 , July 1986.
I have no references to sail patrol vessels being built or used. Given the tactical limitations of such vessels compared with WW2 powered ships it would seem unlikely.
