Ottoman Epaulettes

#1

Post by Gaganunu@01 » 05 Aug 2017, 04:01

Hello everyone, this is my first post here, forgive me if I have put it in the wrong place. I have four epaulettes which I believe are WW1 Ottoman Turkish. I have viewed Chris Flaherty's excellent site, but have questions!
First of all, can anyone tell me what rank they represent? Chris Flaherty' shows one similar to the gold ones, but with a single star, which is said to be for a Lieutenant General, so I imagine mine must be for a higher rank.... The other, red crosshatched one is noted on the site as a 'variant' but (I may be being a bit thick here) I can't see what rank it is for. An estimate of rarity and value would be appreciated also, if anyone would like to venture an opinion.:)
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
John.
