I can't find any mention of '602' in German Armoured Trains by Wolfgang Sawodny. The highest number found in the book is '601'.

Good afternoon. Today I took another look at their materials and were greatly annoyed by his mistake . I'm interested in the train № 601, which accompanied the train with the sapper part, breaking in January 1945. From Deutsch-Eylau in Rosenberg and then to Marienburg.
Why to cover the engineer parts were used train. That this secret may take the engineers from Konigsberg

Unfortunately the book mentioned above has very little information on '601'. It just states that it was one in a series of trains re-numbered to avoid confusion and that it was in the rear area of 2.Armee north of Warsaw in August 1944. That is the only information in the book.

In the book "Train the troops of Germany 1939-1945". Author - Oberstleutenant background Olzewski, like the former commander of those troops, I found nothing. My data is based on information from the books of memoirs of participants of these events. So Lasch writes about two armored trains in what was königsberg. Russian sources write about one anti-aircraft armored train. There is a report of aviation says about the destruction of the armored train at the station Pavian (Studding).So I'm here with these data generally confused.

Especially if there is information on Konigsberg or its surroundings. And one more question. If in the composition of the trains was trolley for transportation heavy cargoes or ad hoc platform for transportation oversized cargoes the this echelon had whether kakuyuto a special labeling in transport documents German Railways.

Sawodny has only a few details.

The renumbering ordered on 13 July 1944 was to avoid confusion between "Panzerzug" and "Streckenschutzzug".

He notes as an example [page 155, left column] "... Streckenschutzzüge ... mit den Nummern 601 (in August 1944 im rückwärtigen Gebiet der 2. Armee nördlich von Warschau) ..."

But he indicates it was a new train, not a renumbered one.
   [page 155, right column] "... — beides wohl Nueaufstellungen — ..."

As an aside;
He further notes that the order could not be carried out, and that the ones renumbered received their old numbers. This did not affect No. 601, as it was a new unit.

Good afternoon. I apologize for my English. I am from Russia and I write on this forum through an automatic translator. I have to upset you. There is no new data on the route of this train. You can try to search from the other side. It is necessary to find out the number of the part of the Toda unit that left Konigsberg for a day before the complete encirclement. These data can shed light on what the armored train number 601 was doing on the territory of East Prussia.

I apologise for poor English because I use an automatic translator when I write on this site.The armoured train 601 piques my curiosity. My information indicates that he covered Todd's retreat of echelon engineering components. Any information on this train would be appreciated, thanks. What tools engineering Todd could use to cover the train with is what he has assigned.
