Need help identifying bayonet

I acquired this bayonet and have no clue as to era or country of origin. Any help is appreciated. I did find a partial marking on the handle that appears to say “C2” and something else I can’t make out.

Not really in my areas of interest, I think the bayonet and frog may be Italian. Fred

Yes, the bayonet and frog definitely appear Italian in origin. Probably for the Carcano rifle.
