"Marshal Antonescu has talked to Bova Scoppa about the new german secret weapon which should make wonders : the electric canon with multiples mouths. No armour could stand. Is it true ? Is it the weapon Hitler talked about in his last discourse or is it just the usual bluff ?

What is this strange weapon ? Electric canon with multiples mouths that no armour could resist ?

Remember that Hitler was a supporter of the Hohlwelttheorie....
In his private conversations, Hitler's imagination invented weapons that he believed possible and invincibles
Some managed to come true, V1, V2, Jet Bomber, others not, like this supposed Minigun in 1943

There was at least some more or less basic research done regarding an AA-railgun (4 cm caliber iirc). There is a report about it in the german Waffen Revue issues 120 and 121....

Experiments on electric railsguns were conducted by Dr. Joachim Hänsler et al., a first prototype was ready by the end of 1944. It could accelerate a 10 g projectile to a maximum velocity of 1,080 m/s. All experiments were stopped with the end of the war and the results transferred to the USA.

But what about the multiple mouths ? It was supposed to be one weapon but with multiple mouths in order to fight an ennmy in numerical superiority.

Surely, Hitler needed to reassure Antonescu after the terrible losses of Stalingrad.
