C. P. Goerz, Berlin existed from 1886 until the company merged with others into Zeiss Ikon AG in 1926.
So these military “service glases” might very well be WWI considering the low serial no.

Just acquired today at auction in Gettysburg; will be used in field in re-enactments when I'm promoted to SS Untershcharfuhrer.
