If it is in the FLUKO raum it could be a plotting table one for each FLUWA. Couldn't Betreib be translated as "operation"?

Hi,
I have now received additional information from OdoHerr and it proves without doubt, that the picture I first posted is the site I linked to above and correctly identified by OdoHerr as a Kriegsmarine radar site equipped with a FuMO 52 Mammut, which is mounted on neither a V 143 nor a L 485, but erected on concrete foundations with an adjacent FA/Vf bunker.
What confused me was that I identified the antenna as a Was S, but is a mast from the Mammut.

Hi,
Yes that correct. It is one picture out of a series of about 100.
The radar is a Freya LZ C, the Splitterschütz is still there.

Hi,
The top photo depicts a Spinne. The ruler is fixed in the position of the radar on the map it is the used to plot range and bearing. Polar coordinates are in this way converted to geographical coordinates using the Jägergradnetz.

The bottom photo is of a display system possibly consisting of a number of lamps embeded in the glass map. The control boxes in front are then used to turn on and off the light. The position is recieved from the spinne operator and the coresponding lamp is turned on. The track of the aircraft can thus be displayed.

The area covered by the map is about four Mittletrapeze in height and about seven wide. This corresponds to about 200 x 200 nautical miles. This extention suggests that the picture is from a Flugmeldemess Stellung. The lattitude where the picture was taken is about 54*N.

Could you please post the link to the auction.

Hi,
Indeed it looks very much like a FiMB 4/5 combination, are the two pictures from the same series? If so it is quite unusual if a Eisenbahn Flugmelde Kp. was so equipped. This could indicated that the pictures are from the Western Front. Soviet aircraft had no airborne electronic equipment working on the frequency of the FuMB 4/5.

Hello
The pictures isnt from the same series. The Fumb picture seems to be from a LW camp. Perhaps i should try to get it. Could be fun to see what it is.

Hi Paul,
Indeed it would. Looking a bit closer it might be a T-Hütte in the background of the type used in Jägerleit Stellungen.
