An SS Pouch?

Post by sylvieK4 » 04 Jul 2002 23:24

I have a camouflage pouch that I believe might be SS in origin. I wasn't sure where to post the photos and put them in the Various Militaria section.

Please take a look at this item:

I have six pictures showing details of the piece. Can anyone tell me anything about it's origins, and what it might have been used for? Thank you.

Very interesting photos. However I'm not convinced that it is original. Are there any markings on the material at all?

There are no markings on it. It is definitely an old piece. Whether it is German/ SS is another thing. The leather is hard and cracking, it shows many signs of wear. There are rust marks on the cloth; well aged/ corroding gromets and so forth. I just finished posting a few more pictures showing the fabric and stitching up close. It is an "original" something - from that era I believe. Just what, I am not sure.
