Unknown addition to 60cm Scheinwerfer.

Hello!

The reason for this question is a post war photo, but I belive the equipment in use is original German equipment.

Attached is a photo of a drill on a 60 cm Scheinwerfer from the 50`s. The searchlight itself is 100% German, but there seems to be some sort of equipment attached underneath. If you compare it with the museum version, there is definately something missing.....

What is missing, or added??

Erik,

The inverted ‘top-hat’ section I believe your referring to is a cooling vent. It’s missing from the museum piece.

The trailer, like the base mount, is the standard 2-cm FlaK 38 trailer.

Do you have a better picture of the trailer for the searchlight?
Actually I dont..... Guess I was too busy making closeups of the searchlight, and forgot the trailer!
