Correct. Usually called Zeiss-Jena 12x60 'blc'. Four of them attached to the rangefinder in a Heavy FLAK battery, to widen it's field of view and guide it to the target.

You're closing in...nose-cone yes, 109 no...it had an aircraft propeller but was no propeller aircraft...

Yes! A 15mm armor nose cone from a Me 163! The constant speed propeller in front drove a generator for electric power.
