I hope I'm not intruding, but you have me fascinated by this little piece of kit! I don't really know much about what's being talked about, but if I could throw in a guess, it looks like a radar guidance system, something I've never heard of the Germans having before...

Something gives me the wild idea that it could be a magneticly guided system though, something well within the the capabilities of WWII science. Could that be it?

Well he is a Luftwaffe member.....unsure of the equipment behind him...........looks like a 88mm shell upside down........business end supported by something.......I reckon he is setting the fuze on that projectile. :?

Could it be an early type of (maybe Japanese) Acoustic Locators...?
A smaller type of this early 1920s US type :lol:
