Yes...I agree with Juha.

That is a set of hydraulic net cutters used by X Craft crew of WW2.

Well, that puts me in an awkward position...
Who do I hand it over to?

Juha for cutting right into the answer (though in doubt) or tiger75 for supplying the whole story and source :?
As the gentlemen you are I'm sure you'll ne able to sort it out on your own :D

Well done both.

Thanks Waleed and Tiger :)

I guessed ythe answer and tried to look for more detailled info (photos) of the XE-craft equipment used at the operations Foil and Sabre...
http://www.ww2australia.gov.au/farflung ... ables.html
http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics ... _submarine
... but wasn't able to dig up any photos.

A new question:
Wht's this?

If the top had been hollow I would have said a model of Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima... 8O
Wondering if it is a "ground-find" with dirt and some moss or actually some sort of pre-operation target model.
Hmmmmmm!?

The hole is at the bottom.
AFAIK there is no "extra" dirt or moss on it and not a target model.

AHA!

Second picture looks like "Explosive coal" and if so the first might be another explosive charge
disguised as a... cow-pat, elephant or mule dung.
What a shitty way to go
