This amphibious vehicle was developed by Dipl Ing Alois Lödige under the code name projekt Lödige in mid 1944. The prototype ran trials at Eckernförde Bay in late July 1944. What was the name and purpose of this amphibious vehicle?

It seems I've posed a devil of a question....
Shold have seen that coment before... :)
It must be the Seeteufel you are thinking of. A midget submarine with tracks that could move on land with speed up to 30 km/h.

Hello Again
Nobody seems to bother about it, or try. Its from a Freya radar.
Ill post another question, perhaps this is more suitable for this section.
What is it, and what is its use ?
regards
stril

p.s
This seems to be the section for leftovers, in this tread there are 7 pages, 96 replies, and 4316 views.
Just to compare with some other quiz in this forum having over 30 pages, over 500 replies and over 25000 views.
It get as good as you want it.. :|

Hi Stril,

Looks like an entrenching tool/spade/shovel to me :D

Good for digging trenches and latrines!

What part of the Freya radar was your picture? Is it in Norway?

Hello
If i have got it right its isolators on the top of the "antenna" frame., and yes, its Norway.
Looking at the picture i must admit that it was a hopeless question.
Anyway, youi got it right, it is a shovel..next question is for you.

Thanks stril,

Next question:

I was a piece of equipment, with an effect that was belied by my small size, as was my name, which suggested something much larger. What am I?

Hi pzrwest,

Goliath was the one I was looking for! Over to Canada now. Are you anywhere near Fort Erie? I used to know some people there many years ago.
