Update.. I know have 10 feldpost letters in my possession. I believe them to be from a Hauptsturmfuhrer of the Wiking Division. Can anyone confirm? I'd appreciate if anyone can read his initial/surname (Schopper?) and the adddress on the front of the envelope. What does the letter mention? Grateful thanks :)

Dear Mailman,

it is the FPNr. 21432 A, Stab I. Abt. SS-Artillerie-Regiment 5 of the Wiking Division

The dates as per postmark were November 8th 1943 and August 27th 1944.

There is a certain Dr. med Hubert Schopper, in the “Führerliste” of John P. Moore, born 3.10.12 in Wien, died 13.12.2000. SS-Nr. 301 022

7.42 Ostuf. and IVb,I,/Art.Rgt.5
2.45 Hstuf. and IVb,I,/Art.Rgt.5

So this must be “your man” …

On the letter from Nov. 8th 1943, we have the stamp of FPNr. 21432 D, as it seems, must be the third battery of the I./SS-AR 5 … :?

With all the best yours Roland
